About Lark Ranch

Lark Ranch is a 600 acre ranch owned and operated by Indianapolis attorney Matt Lark, who practices law on Monument Circle, Indianapolis, during the week, but spends his weekends and spare time at the ranch. Lark has owned the property, which lies between Loogootee and Dover Hill, for only five years, but has been farming in Martin County over twenty years.

Since purchasing the Ranch, Matt has been steadily developing it with the help of friends and neighbors. A cabin has been built, as well as a barn with living quarters, where Matt and his three boys stay when they're at the farm.

Matt loves the Southern Indiana countryside, and feels that the Corn Maze, hayrides, and other activities at the farm are his way of giving back to the community that has given so much to him. His dream for the corn maze is to provide local entertainment for southern Indiana families that is both enjoyable and affordable.

The ranch also provides educational opportunities for local children. School and other educational groups are admitted to the ranch at a reduced price.

Last year Matt grew a field of cotton, both as an experiment to see if cotton would grow this far north, and also as an educational experience for Southern Indiana kids, who would otherwise perhaps not have the opportunity to see cotton being grown.

Matt also enjoys using the ranch for donating to local organizations such as the Eastern Food Pantry, St. Vincent De Paul in Loogootee and the Martin County Relay for Life. This year, Lark Ranch, in cooperation with McDonald's Restaurants, will be making a donation to the Ronald McDonald House sponsored by McDonald's Restaurants.
